Jamilah Lemieux's Bio:

Jamilah Lemieux is Chicago native and graduate of Howard University. For five years, she galvanized a broad national audience with her writings on gender politics, race relations and tales of her journey via her popular site, The Beautiful Struggler. Now serving as the Digital News and Lifestyle Editor for the iconic EBONY brand, she has been hailed as one of the smartest, sharpest young editors in the online world. A 2007 and 2008 Black Weblog Award Winner for Best Personal Blog (Popular Vote) and 2010 winner for Best Microblog, Lemieux and has conducted/participated in numerous panel discussions about social media networking, women's issues and relationships. In 2010, she was ranked #94 on Black Web 2.0?s list of "The Most Influential Black Women on Twitter" and she was a 2013 NABJ Salute to Excellence Award finalist. Lemieux's work has been featured in EBONY, JET and Essence magazines and she has also been a contributing writer for a host of digital publications, including Clutch, The Loop, Hello Beautiful, Madame Noire and Essence.com. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, she resides in Brooklyn.

Developed the site's social media strategy and currently maintains both the brand's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
